Yesterday was a huge day in history. As you all know, the World Most Famous Man, Michael Jackson aka The King of Pop died. Man…ain’t that some sh*t. I guess everybody has got to go someday. So what’s this post about? Well, in all respect to Michael Jackson this blog has to see the “Get Money” perspective of everything.

Keeping your head during the storm..

When I heard that Michael Jackson died my first reaction was to get on Twitter, and then on Facebook, and Wikipedia etc etc. I was one of the early birds when it came to finding out. Five minutes later I realized…this is a get money opportunity. I rushed to GoDaddy.com…ripmichaeljackson.com and other domains had already been registered. I was like surprised at how fast people think. So my next move was to try something I’ve never done before – Pay Per Click.

I had a free $25 coupon for Adwords that I got for signing up with Hostgator so I used it and added another $25 dollars myself. Then I went on Amazon.com and found some affiliate links to Michael Jacksons Greatest Hits and proceeded to run an AdWords campaign. Now, remember i’ve never done this before so I just set it up to the best of my ability (I was learning on the spot). Since it was a worldwide phenomenon I thought I’d run a campaign in the United Kingdom.

Anyways, I got a bunch of clicks but not as many conversions as I should have or could have. I didn’t make a profit but didn’t lose too much so it was a great learning experience and definitely got me more interested in PPC. Yesterday while I was doing this a friend of mine told me, “you like to take a lot of risks don’t you?” No rain, no rainbows – no risk, no reward. Next time something big goes down, while everybody’s spreading the gossip, make sure you’re getting the cake. I know I will be.

Hype. We all know what it is. When new Jordans come out – the hype that surrounds them is ridiculous – same with electronics – same with internet marketing products (from top gurus) and more. What I noticed about internet marketing products is that they tend to spike upon release – and then slowly dwindle down. Hype sells.

I made a lot of money by cashing in on the hype of the first Android powered phone – The T-Mobile G1. I wanted this phone – I knew it was hot stuff and mad people were just as interested as I was so I decided to make a site about the phone and it’s applications. A niche site. This wasn’t my first niche site – but it was my first niche site where I kind of new what I was doing.

The sites traffic grew ridiculously and probably in the first 2 days with no promotion it was getting from 7000 to 10000 hits a day. I no longer own that site and probably sold it for less than it was worth but it’s okay. But the hype surrounding that phone was incredible. I spent $7 TOTAL on the domain and made over $10000 from that site.

If you’re the first to promote a product then you should be one of the first people to cash in (if you’re techniques are successful).

How do I know when products are released?

I was wondering the same thing but this tool called the Product Calendar should be useful when it comes to IM product releases.

Final Words – Keep your eyes on the road and your ears to the streets. Hype gets you paid. If other people think it’s hot 0 and you know it’s hot – don’t hesitate. Holla at me.

I’m sure you’ve heard of the FOREX disaster – you know, the one where some dude thought he was the *poop* and lost $750 in a matter of hours? Yeah, that one. I’ve decided to take a week off which has been this week so far to collect myself and further my learning on the subject.

Before the disaster happened some friends from a forum that I visit referred me to this book: Technical Analysis for Dummies. They said it should teach me all the bookwork and what not when it comes to Technical Analysis. I find myself reading over somethings twice just to make sure it’s drilled into my brain.

Anyways I got it off Amazon for around $17. I’ve had some clients lately and didn’t do as well with them. Damn fiesta and what not – gotta quit that sh*t. Oh well – time to get back on the hustle.

As you know I’ve been dabbling with FOREX lately. Let me give you a quick rundown on what FOREX is. The FOREX market is the currency exchange market aka foreign exchange. For example, you would buy the USD hoping that it’s value would rise against the Euro. You are simultaneously buying one currency as you sell another – so if you buy a currency and that currency strengthens – you make money. Vice Versa.

I see huge potential in this market and have decided to start with $1000. I opened a demo trading account with FOREX.com and they have been treating me pretty well. I’ve studied quite a bit and I’m currently reading a chapter or two a day out of this book which I bought for my Dad last year. I also signed up for a Webinar in which they’ll be providing a live market analysis.

I had a spare Western Digital 500GB  hard drive laying around a couple weeks ago. I was going to run a contest here but you know with this economic crunch and all, times are hard! I decided I didn’t want to pay eBay their fees so I’d go through Craigslist AKA Cold Hard Cash. 

Put up the listing and within a day got a phone call from someone willing to buy it for full price. Met up with the guy – wham, bam, thank you man – I was $85 richer. So now I got that out of the way I hadn’t forgotten that my listing was still up. I didn’t bother to edit it and say it’s sold because I’m lazy and have things to do.

The next day I must have gotten two calls and a text asking about the hard drive. Told them I didn’t have it. Got a couple more calls the next day. And I’ve been getting a call at least once every 2 or 3 days asking for this external hard drive.

So how does this help you?

Forget supply and demand. How about demand and supply? You got a product that you can get cheap but not sure people will buy? List it on Craigslist, see how many responses you get, then decide if it’s worthwhile.

• GlobalSources.com
• Liquidation.com 
• Local Liquidations (lots more now because of the recession)
• Craiglist and Ebay (People don’t know the value of their own goods)

Make sure you’re buying from Verified Suppliers on Global Sources and Alibaba. Just putting y’all up on something that I’ll be doing in my spare time. It’s all about having multiple income streams. I’ll let you all know how it goes once I get everything going.

If you didn’t know already - my computers hate me. But I kept on going and figured out that my computers dislike for me was actually a blessing in disguise. Now I’m sure you’re wondering how I figure a rickety old computer that takes 1000 calories just to turn on is a blessing in disguise. Let me tell ya…

Without a desktop computer I had to do some rearranging and my laptop has since become the dominant computer in the room. I was just thinking…what can I do with this spare monitor..then it came to me! USE IT! I hooked the spare monitor up to the back of my laptop and wham! Extended Desktop baby!

Boost Your Productivity By Running Dual Monitors

Since I’ve been running dual monitors I’ve actually been getting more work done everyday. It’s pretty simple..I can do 2 things at once. I can be in 2 places at once. It helps so much the only way you can really understand is if you set it up for yourself.

Somedays I have it so one of my screens keeps Tweetdeck up so I can stay social while I work. The perfect mix of work and play at the same time can actually keep me refreshed rather than staring at a blank screen trying to figure out what to write.

If you’re not running dual monitors yet and you work-at-home you should definitely try it. You can have your email open on on monitor and whatever you’re working on on another monitor. You don’t have to constantly click between tabs and it helps you stay more organized.

It’s definitely working for me as I’ve almost finished my eBook. You’ll be pumping out more work once you get used to it and realize it’s definitely worthwhile. The more productive you are – the more money you’re going to make, so try it out. Oh yeah, here’s a screenshot!

Introducing Twittad – make money by using your Twitter background as advertising space. Now, I don’t exactly know how they calculate how much your Twitter accounts value. Maybe they can find how much traffic your page gets or your Twitter PR or something. It seems like an alright idea and I’ll probably give it a shot.

I’ve told you all my plans already about writing an E-Book sometime last year. I hadn’t had the chance to settle down and begin writing it until recently. Since it’s my first E-Book I decided not to make too long. I’m looking to write something short, informative, and useful for people who are trying to make a couple extra hundred bucks a month using Google’s Adsense.

So I decided I’m going to go by  My New Years Resolution: The 7-Day Plan. Tell me you’ve tried it before? So far I’m on Day 2 of my 7 days and I’ve written two chapters. The book is coming along well and should be finished within 2-3 weeks. The point is to finish the rough draft within 7 days.

I’m excited about the launch and even if things don’t work out. It’s all about putting yourself out there and giving yourself opportunities. At least I can give it away for free to people as a reference guide to making a couple dollars on the side. Good thing I’m not printing it out because I don’t want it to be used as a substitute for toilet paper

I was reading The University Kids post on how 20% of your time yields 80% of your results. If you think I’m taking more than an hour and a half on a chapter, you’re mistaken. I have a list of goals to complete everyday in order to become a success on the internet and with this blog. I’ll list them out in the future.

Now that I’m injured and taking a break from the field. I’m sitting at home more and more everyday and learning so much through the people I encounter online. I love Adsense – I’m writing an E-Book on “How To Get Paid Using Adsense” (look out for it) – Adsense is my favorite source of income and at times, surprisingly, it’s my only source of income. But as the title says, the Adsense hustle is not for everyone.

The thing about the Adsense hustle is that in most cases unless you have an extremely high traffic site – you won’t make too much. Another thing that determines how much you make are the ads that show up on your website – is your website/blog in a high paying niche. That is definitely something that you should look into before you create your site, especially if you’re looking to make money off of it.

Other niches such as the weight loss and skin care niches, people say that affiliate products are better to advertise with those. Those are said to be the “desperate buyers” markets. I’m so fat – I’ll buy any product just to see if it works! (their mentality supposedly). I don’t know if that’s completely true. And to me anyways, most desperate markets are saturated.

When I choose a Niche – I like to think outside the box. People say write about what interests you, of course that’s a plus, but what if you’re interested in mongolian cow manure- see how far that’s going to get you. Anyways, you don’t want to be too far outside of the box, but you want to be borderline, something that a lot of people are interested in OR something that a lot of people WILL be interested in. Something that you could possibly top the search engines on. Think AHEAD of the game.

You’d be surprised one blog topping the search engines for a keyword can get you more money than 10 blogs on the second page.

Hours and hours of research. Finding reviews on products and programs, making sure before I signed up for anything it was legit. Make sure you can tell the difference between a paid review and an honest genuine review on a service. I mean someone has to have a sub par opinion, don’t ya think? You’d be surprised what a search on Google will find you. And dig, dig, dig (read more than what’s on the first page).

I think we all need to share our knowledge. Collaborate with each other, create bigger and better things. Of course we need to make money in the end, as that is the main goal. But remember, people will be more willing to spend a buck on your product and/or service once you’ve established rapport with them. Whether through personal conversations (real life or online) or even through genuine blogging. By creating better interpersonal relationships with your customers – you’ll see an increase in return rate (compared to hard selling).
