Anyways, 10 years ago there was no Myspace, no Facebook, no Youtube. There was pretty much nothing of lasting significance on the internet. Those people had dreams, ideas, and balls to implement them. I see the internet as a 2nd world where you can connect with others, find an abundance of information, etc etc.. It’s also a place where people conduct their businesses and make millions daily. Everyday a new star is born. The great thing about the internet though is it’s relatively young, less than 20 years old. When it comes to mainstream use I’d say it’s barely 10 years old. Which means that it still has hundreds of years to evolve and you and I are lucky enough to catch it so early in its history. Youtube recently only turned 5 years old. Word? What the hell were we doing for videos before then? Yahoo or Real Player? No thanks.

So what I’m saying with this post is that, contrary to popular belief. everything HASN’T been done. If you have an idea and it sounds farfetched, don’t be afraid to follow it because the potential rewards almost always outweigh the risk. Who knew social networking would blow up to be what it is today with all these powerhouses involved. Who knows how long they’ll last until the next thing comes along? Just some food for thought is what this post is. I’m going to be working on developing a few ideas in the future…how about you?

As you can tell I’ve been gone for the past week. I’ve been hustling harder than ever. Remember by post Keys Open Doors: Networking – it just blessed me again for the thousandth time in this life. Keeping in touch with a fellow hustler friend of mine who I met on a hair site has opened my eyes to the world of affiliate marketing. I knew about it, but never really got hold of it. Let’s just say that it absolutely dwarfs anything I’ve ever made in Adsense before. Definitely looking into having a good summer earnings wise. I’ll post some screen shots of my earnings soon. This guy is a beast in the game. He’s documenting how he’s going to make $100k in a year online. It’s possible when you look at it from a $275 a day point of view isn’t it?

365Hustle readers – June is going to be an exciting month for me seriously. Two good friends of mine are flying to London and we’re going to make a trip to Spain to enjoy the beaches and culture of Catalunya! After that we’re flying back to London for a short break then heading off to Tunisia, should be a month to remember. Gonna be a lot of visuals too considering I just got my new camera and lens (Nikon D3000 and 35mm f1.8 Lens). I’ve never sent postcards before so I’ll probably send a bunch out like old school. If you want one hit me up before then so I can get your addy and what not.

Life is actually getting comfortable again. Going to be taking the camera out one of these days get some new imagery up around here. It’s been dry lately hasn’t it? Back though I got a month of hard work to do and then it’s home free. Kind of.

They told me I’m gaining weight. I told em I’m gettin paid!

It’s becoming more of a who you know world, rather than what you know. If you got both then you’re sitting pretty. There are so many examples on a major scale of this but even if you look around you everyday you’ll see it at work. So many people think that they can do everything by themselves, some people can but it’s difficult. I’ve recently gotten into coaching kids football and just finished my FA Level 1 (pat on the back) and through a friend of mine I’ll begin coaching in one of the most innovative coaching programs in London. If I kept to myself all the time, I’d have never met the guy, and therefore this opportunity would have never came to be.

It’s not about using people to get where you need to be. We all have something to offer so be sure to return favors when you can and in the best way possible. You see something you like, reach out, send the person an email, leave a comment, make a new friend etc etc. You never know where it might lead you in the future.

I haven’t announced the winner to my competition yet but I will. I’ve been a little out of commission lately but I’m back. Today I’m going to be talking a little bit about organic traffic and how much I love it. But first let me talk about..

Social Traffic:

Social traffic is traffic obtained through means of…being social. Think social networking sites like Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, Digg, and more. Some sites are well suited for social traffic while others aren’t. I’m not a fan for actively pursuing social traffic because most of the time you work hard for menial results. Not all of the time, but a lot of the time.

I’d also like to mention that some sites are better suited for social traffic whilst others are not.

What is Organic Traffic?

Organic traffic is a bloggers best friend. In fact – it’s any webmasters best friend. Organic traffic is pretty much traffic that comes from an unpaid listing (search engines or directories). Most of the time we’re talking about search engine traffic though. Organic traffic is free promotion…free traffic which if used correctly can lead to free money.

Why?

If you’re not taking advantage of organic traffic by now then your website is missing out on a lot of traffic – which could also mean you’re missing out on a lot of money. As I said in my ebook Adsense Pirate organic traffic was bringing in around 95% of traffic to one of my main Adsense money makers. I had not promoted the site for one day. So the next question is…

How?

The best way to get organic traffic is through SEO. Search engine optimization. Those are three very important words for any blogger who wants to go far. SEO isn’t as hard as some people make it out to be. It’s a lot easier to start a blog using good SEO practice than it is to convert a blog. Things such as title tags, keywords, and what not you need to pay a lot of attention to. I’m going to do a post on SEO in the future. If you rank high in Google for the keywords your site is based on – and they aren’t crappy keywords of course – then you’ll see some traffic coming your way.

Anyways – I haven’t updated in a while so I thought I would throw this post in just to get your mind wondering. I was looking for World Cup tickets today..meh no good teams left…I’ll wait till the next phase of ticket sales. Anyways – stick around. Stay thirsty – peace.

Once upon a time there was this boy named Meji (me) who desperately needed ten bucks in his Paypal…He searched far and he searched wide. He asked everyone on his buddy lists…even sent a few emails just to get ten bucks into his Paypal. Needless to say…he failed miserably. But then Meji had an idea…he would send one Tweet asking for ten bucks. 

Low and behold one of Meji’s two thousand followers came through for him his name is @AndrewHansen1. What are the odds of that? I’m pretty sure he’d never been to my blog or anything but the dude lent me $10 bucks. It was really cool of him and haven’t forgot about it. I paid him back the next day when my Paypal got a refill but I’m sure you get what I’m talking about? 

Twitter is something special, I wonder how long it will last? You think it’ll fade out?

Anyways, so I decided to pay it forward. I gave a guy a stamp today in the Post Office. 

By the way…I’ve launched all 3 of those sites. That I was talking about in my last post…I work quickly don’t I? :p

As we all know social networking is taking or has taken over the internet recently. I’m sure you’ve all heard enough of Twitter, Facebook, Myspace since everybody is using them from the President of the United States to  the average cubicle worker. For the people who spend their time trying to make money online  I think you should ask yourself whether Twitter and other social sites are actually helping your business, or are you just wasting time?

Are you social networking, or social notworking?

According to this TechCrunch post their increase of traffic from Twitter was less valuable than the traffic that they hard earned from Twitter before they were featured on the front page.  Another thing I’d like to mention that if you’re one of those people like myself who use Adsense, traffic from Twitter is not one of the best things for you.

If you’re hoping to use Twitter to drive more traffic to your sites and make bookoo dollars it’s not as easy as it seems. It actually takes time to build relationships with these people unless you already have a good reputation through an outstanding website or a blog. Besides, a good question to ask yourself is - “Is the traffic I get from Twitter worth the time I spend on it?”

Twitter haven’t even found out a way to monetize themselves besides donations (in which they received $20 million).

So are people who are using Twitter to fuel their businesses wasting their time? Could we be spending our time finding more valuable sources of traffic? Are we just social notworking?
