How I Lost $750 In One Day!
Posted on 26. Apr, 2009 by Meji.
I post a lot about How I Make Money Online so I thought I’d add this because I need to be completely honest. I lose it too
As you know I’ve been going through BabyPips School Of Pipsology for a couple of days now and it was going well. One of the main points they stress is DON’T START TRADING UNTIL YOU’RE PERFECTLY COMFORTABLE WITH TRADING ON THE DEMO ACCOUNT. Well, you know me…I wanna make money and I wanna make it quick. And this is how the story goes…
I was pumped because I was only making profitable trades on my demo account so in my head I’m like “I can be using real money, and making real money. Fu*k this demo sh*t.” I logged into my live FOREX trading account. Lets call that Mistake #1.
My account had $1000 on it and I quickly made some bad trades and it dropped down to $973. I was cool about it and found a way to get it all the way up to $1074. I made $74 in no time. I was way too happy so I entered the market around 4 to 5 more times. Label this Mistake #2.
I noticed that all of these trades started moving against me. But you know what? I had confidence…I knew they were gonna move back up. I knew they were going to shoot back in the right direction and I was going to profit immensly. The only thing that I did not know is that I was being an absolute idiot. Mistake #3
None of the trades came back my way and I had a margin call. I lost $750 and learned one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned in my life. Don’t do crap until you’re fully ready & educated. I messed up and paid dearly for it.
I was depressed for a day so I bought some new shoes what y’all think?

The Craigslist iPhone 3G Hustle - Get It.
Posted on 20. Apr, 2009 by Meji.
I’m about my online and my offline hustles. You gotta do what it takes to make that money. In one of my other posts I mentioned how people don’t know the value of their own goods - and some people don’t know or are just too lazy to do some basic tech stuff to their iPhones. Well this is where Craigslist and getting on your local hustle comes in.
I recently got an iPhone 3G 16GB off of Craigslist for $375 . Do you know how much they’re going for on eBay? Around $500 to $600 if you jailbreak and unlock it. Thats anywhere from $100 to $200 profit. If you haven’t figured out what I’m getting at already then I don’t know what to tell you. There are many people who don’t know or just want to get rid of their stuff quickly. I know the general concern is - what if somethings wrong with it?
This is just where you have to be smart when you buy. Ask questions (is it still under warranty? How old is it?) - don’t get too excited when you see an unbelieveably low price - and don’t get jumped or jacked either. Heard about the Craigslist killer in Boston yet?
All you need is a little start up capital to buy them, the software to jailbreakand unlock it, and then the ingenuity to sell them and you’re on your way.
Here’s how to get started:
- Go to Craigslist.com and choose your City and State.
- Use the search bar on the left and type in: iPhone
- Look for steals/deals and give them a call.
- Meet them up - inspect - and make your decision.
I’m not going to tell you how to jailbreak it here but Google will definitely hook you up with that knowledge or you can always send me an email.
The other hustle I was thinkin’ about getting on is the iPhone unlocking service. It’s really easy once you get the hang of it.
Make sure you know the difference between a 3G and a 2G an 8GB and a 16GB. Do all your research before you spend a dollar so you don’t waste any money.
Why am I so late? Because I had a G1 and wasn’t interested in iPhones at all. I have to admit though - I’m falling in love with them.

My SpamBox Lost Me Money!!
Posted on 14. Apr, 2009 by Meji.

I have a couple of businesses I run on the side. If you don’t know them already, one of them is for Niche Blog Building and the other is an Article Writing business. Today I’m going to tell you how I managed to lose a potential $1000 by being ignorant.
I have around 7 Gmail accounts and that doesn’t include my server side accounts which forward to my Gmail accounts which sometime forward to another. It’s an intricate network of Gmails and emails pretty much. I also have contact forms on most of my sites which go to the server side email and then forward to my Gmail accounts.
One day I decided to look into my spam box in a few of my emails and I saw at least 5 missed emails from clients asking for blogs an articles. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I wanted to cry because missed money hurts. I mean…that’s like lunch - for a week or 2. Who knows, it could’ve been repeat business? I thought I had everything under control because all my email that goes to my inbox goes to my cell phone, but my SPAM DOESN’T!
It also has to do with the Contact Form Plugin I was using cforms II. Spammers use your contact form to send you spam! So if you use a contact form make sure you have a captcha or verification question.
What Did I Learn?
- Check Your Spam Mail Regularly.
- If you use any contact form make sure you have a captcha or verification form.
- If you use cforms just add a new field and choose Visitor Verification (Q & A).
- Minimize your business E-Mail addresses.

How I’m Preparing For My FOREX Endeavors
Posted on 11. Apr, 2009 by Meji.

As you know I’ve been dabbling with FOREX lately. Let me give you a quick rundown on what FOREX is. The FOREX market is the currency exchange market aka foreign exchange. For example, you would buy the USD hoping that it’s value would rise against the Euro. You are simultaneously buying one currency as you sell another - so if you buy a currency and that currency strengthens - you make money. Vice Versa.
I see huge potential in this market and have decided to start with $1000. I opened a demo trading account with FOREX.com and they have been treating me pretty well. I’ve studied quite a bit and I’m currently reading a chapter or two a day out of this book which I bought for my Dad last year. I also signed up for a Webinar in which they’ll be providing a live market analysis.
You can check the book out that I’m reading here - Getting Started in Currency Trading: Winning in Today’s Hottest Marketplace - it’s definitely worth your while if you’re interested.
And if you plan on signing up or have any questions about the process feel free to send me an email at meji@365hustle.com and I’ll gladly share all I know. I’m trying to put y’all up on something special so join me!
