Risk Is Your Best Friend.

I’ve been on a vacation for a couple days to Houston, or so I thought. I ended up working a little bit while I was down here. I tried out for a team and learned a valuable lesson – don’t get injured on the first day! It was horrible. I messed up my ankle and it ruined everything. So, I’ll be back in 3 weeks to try out again. As for money making, business has been going great. So what’s the lesson for today? Today I’m going to talk about risk – how it helped me and how it can help you.
Risk is important in the business world. We all know that Bill Gates took a risk when he dropped out of Harvard to further pursue Microsoft. We know that athletes take risks when dropping out of college to pursue a professional sports career. The world and everything we know was built on some sort of risk. People don’t take enough risk nowadays in the business world. They are afraid to try new things, afraid that they might succeed and their workload may increase, or afraid they might fail.
All I’m saying is take some risks. I took a risk buying the domains of my sites – took risks spending my time building them up, commenting on others blogs, spending money on advertising and more. I know they aren’t huge risks but I took some. So today, plan for 2009 and…
…Ask Yourself – Am I taking enough risk? Am I limiting myself by being afraid of risk? How can I make risk work for me?
After you’ve written down your answers, hit the drawing board and start planning.
