So it’s been a question for a while? How the hell do I get this Twitter account to make money? People have been using the other service (can’t think of the name right now) where it constantly sends a tweet through your account advertising a product. Don’t think that would be too great if you’re trying to boost your follower count. This one doesn’t seem so intrusive though, unless your Twitter background just means the world to you.
Introducing Twittad – make money by using your Twitter background as advertising space. Now, I don’t exactly know how they calculate how much your Twitter accounts value. Maybe they can find how much traffic your page gets or your Twitter PR or something. It seems like an alright idea and I’ll probably give it a shot.
The earnings probably won’t pay your rent but can probably get you a few burger a month, or maybe just pay for your coffee in the mornings. It’s free to sign up and they also have an affiliate program so you can make money while you advertise. It’s a win-win, whats there to lose besides your Twitter background.

Interesting – most people seem to use their background to market themselves further – this is an interesting use!
My thing with monetizing twitter was I did not want it to become SPAM central. But this might be worth a shot because I have default background at the moment and I don’t really see how this can bother anyone.
Yeah I have a default background too and because I use Splitweet to tweet I don’t really care about my Twitter background that much
Depends on what you’re really trying to do really. Some people want to become social gurus – others want to make money – I want to do both.
