The title says it all – I’ll just add a little bit extra for kicks. If your on your hustle, online or offline, and it’s not going too well there is definitely a reason. Maybe the product your hustling is bunk, maybe you’re not marketing yourself correctly, who knows? If you diversify yourself, you diversify your possible income streams. Would you believe I’ve had this DSLR for about a week and somebody is already offering to pay me for some work? I’m not even an amateur, I’m an absolute newbie and someone is willing to pay me to take pictures for them. I’m not going to take them up on their offer because I’m obviously not experienced enough to be doing paid work as a photographer. I’m sure you get where I’m going with this.
Try your hand at different things that interest you whether it’s biking, sewing, stitching, directing, whatever – you never know what opportunities it may bring, what people you may meet, etc etc…

I dig this photo a lot — I find that the lightly saturated colors in the buildings and the desaturated environment give it an interesting aesthetic quality that definitely attracts me!! Good shit homie.

I think you should take that guy up on his offer to pay you for pictures. Unless it requires really advanced skills that can only be learned from years of learning, I have found that taking on projects that are slightly beyond me actually helps me learn so much faster. In my freelance work, I have to say, I don’t think I’ve ever been fully qualified but because I wanted to produce quality work for my paying clients I have been able to learn what I needed to learn.
I say take the offer…I mean why not? Unless its something really hard. You’re good at taking pics. Btw thats a DOPE street

don’t take up the offer. clearly you’re still unexperienced, and charging someone for your pictures would be a rip off on their end. from the looks of it it looks you’re shooting with either a d40 or a low end rebel. keep practicing, upgrade your glass and body and then go from there.
